Jennifer Purdon

Jennifer is an executive coach and consultant who helps leaders make breakthroughs that increase their confidence, impact and fulfillment. Her primary focus is helping leaders build awareness and mastery in the interpersonal realms so they can forge connections, build strong working relationships, and develop their ability to partner and positively lead and influence others.

Jennifer has expertise in assessment and psychometrics and is skilled at pinpointing and addressing a leader’s most pivotal development need. She has completed intensive training in leadership assessment throughout her 20 years of experience. She has worked across many industries including advertising, banking and financial services, consulting and professional services, consumer goods, education, energy, hospitality, health care and retail.

Prior to becoming a full-time coach, she served as Director of Leadership Development at two major corporations, working closely with the executive teams to identify, assess and develop candidates for key leadership roles. Those experiences gave her firsthand insight into what enables leaders to thrive and have positive impact, as well as what most often derails or limits them.

Jennifer ensures clients become more self-aware and more astute observers of others and their environments, clear-sighted about business realities and the context in which they are leading. Insightful and forthright, she gets clients moving forward quickly. Her clients often report a leap in their capability after overcoming a difficult hurdle or as a result of fulfilling a complex, worthwhile goal. Clients often describe a new sense of excitement about their leadership that was previously missing.

In her personal time, Jennifer works with Girls, Inc. of Westchester County, providing career development workshops and individual coaching for high school girls, following her eight- year tenure as a founding board member. She serves on the boards of Oxford College of Emory University and The Counseling Center of Bronxville.  She is also an active participant in the Coral Restoration Foundation, which spearheads offshore coral nurseries and reef restoration programs for critically endangered coral reefs

Jennifer received a BA in English from Emory University, an MS in Career Development from Georgia State University, and coaching certification from the Coaches Training Institute in San Francisco.
