It is a myth that leaders are born, not made. It is a myth that to be a good leader a person must have charisma or the highest IQ or any other particular personality characteristic. It is a myth that a person is a leader just because he or she occupies a certain position in an organization.

The practice of leadership requires awareness of oneself and the impact you have on other people. And, to make the challenge even harder, the game keeps changing as you keep succeeding. The skills, abilities, and insights that got you to one level of success will not be enough to get you to the next level. To be effective, leaders must constantly reinvent themselves.

On Boarding: is a specialized executive coaching process which focuses on what a new leader does during the first ninety days on a new job. Changing companies and changing jobs may be the most important and difficult transition that a leader will face. Expectations of new leaders are high and often unclear, conflicting, or unspoken. Research has shown that a successful On Boarding process substantially increases the probability of success for the new leader.
